The Danish Climate and Energy minister Connie Hedegaard is visiting Thisted on the 20th of November. Here she’s going to learn of the climate solutions produced here.
The minister will hear of the district heating plan for Thisted which aims to bring district heating to an area of more than a 1000 km2. A very daring project which tackles serious technical challenges as well as political. Niels Jørgen Pedersen, chairman of the local agricultural organization LandboThy, will tell the minister about energy production and agriculture. The event finishes in the city of Thisted, where Connie Hedegaard will visit a renewable energy industry Global Wind Power, and Director Henrik Amby will be talking about doing business in a business minded municipality.
